Numerous good horses have carried the green silks of Imad Alsagar over the past two decades, led by the runaway Derby winner Authorized and homebred Prix de Diane heroine Nashwa.

Authorized ended his career as the Cartier champion three-year-old colt of 2007 while another Classic colt, Araafa, was one of the leading milers of 2006 following victories in the Irish 2,000 Guineas and St James’s Palace Stakes.

Blue Diamond Stud was established in 2010, since when it has developed into a premier bloodstock operation.

In 2017, the stud enjoyed outstanding homebred success thanks to Decorated Knight, our first homebred Group 1 winner who landed the Irish Champion Stakes, Tattersalls Gold Cup and Jebel Hatta.

Gimcrack Stakes winner Ajaya, Duke Of Cambridge Stakes heroine Aljazzi and Group 3 winners Extra Elusive and Nazanin were other notable highlights prior to the 2022 season when Nashwa, bred by Blue Diamond Stud out of Princess Loulou, emerged as one of the year's top fillies thanks to her successes in the Prix de Diane and Nassau Stakes. Our star filly was kept in training at four, when she ran away with the Falmouth Stakes and ran placed in the Juddmonte International and Irish Champion Stakes.

We have also enjoyed success in the US as the owner-breeder of Black Gold Stakes winner Wonderful Justice.
