Princess Loulou gained a deserved first success at stakes level for Roger Varian when the easy winner of the Listed Gillies Fillies’ Stakes at Doncaster in November 2015.
Prior to that performance, Princess Loulou had gained a valuable Group 1 bracket when second to Ribbons in the Group 1 Prix Jean Romanet at Deauville. She was also second in the Listed Conqueror Stakes and third in the Group 3 Lanwades Stud Stakes.
The daughter of Pivotal was bred by David Brown out of the placed Highest Honor mare Aiming, a half-sister to Listed-winning sprinter Watching from the famous Pelting family.
Princess Loulou’s first foal, Louganini, was a useful handicapper for Roger Charlton. However, her 2019 filly by Frankel is none other than Nashwa, winner of the Prix de Diane and Nassau Stakes in 2022. Kept in training for 2023, she also added the Falmouth Stakes to her record as well as placings in the Nassau Stakes, Juddmonte International and Irish Champion Stakes.
Her 2022 colt Nebras also looks potentially smart judging on his debut win at Newmarket during the back end of 2024.
