Stonereath Farm was added as the Kentucky division of Blue Diamond Stud in the summer of 2023.
Situated just outside Paris in Kentucky, the 252-acre farm possesses a rich history, notably as the home of blue hen Best In Show, the ancestress of numerous Group 1 winners, while it was under the ownership of Darrell and Lindy Brown.
More recently, it was owned by European breeder Dr Christoph Berglar, owner of the King George winner Novellist, and run with great success under the Narola banner by his son Peter.
In all, Stonereath has 60 stalls in four barns, 24 paddocks and a yearling show ring area among its many amenities.
The purchase of Stonereath Farm signalled our intention for Blue Diamond Stud to compete on the world stage. It acts as a hub for our North American operation and hosts an increasing broodmare band, with some having been sourced specifically with an eye on breeding and racing in North America and others switching to and from Newmarket in order to take advantage of the differing bloodlines available in Kentucky.
With such a long and storied history of producing top-class racehorses, Stonereath Farm is a valuable complement to our European division while allowing us great opportunity to diversify.
