Our first homebred stakes winner

Majestic Sakeena joined the Blue Diamond Stud broodmare band in 2006 and swiftly rewarded her new owners when foaling Nouriya, our first homebred stakes winner. Nouriya reached her peak for Sir Michael Stoute during the summer of 2010 when following up her success in the Listed Lyric Stakes at York by defeating older fillies in the Listed John Musker Fillies’ Stakes at Yarmouth.

The daughter of Danehill Dancer, who is closely related to the top miler Zafeen, is now a member of the Blue Diamond Stud broodmare band. Her first foal was Aljazzi, who provided us with a momentous day when taking the Group 2 Duke Of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot.

The dam of four winners in all so far, Nouriya is also granddam of the Grade 2-placed Kinchen. Still in the Blue Diamond broodmare band, Nouriya has a two-year-old colt by Lope De Vega named Gamrai with John and Thady Gosden. She currently resides at Stonereath Farm in Kentucky.
