Chinkara scores at Yarmouth to headline BDS-bred double
11 June 2025
Homebred Chinkara gained a deserved win under Hollie Doyle when successful in the novice at Yarmouth on Wednesday.
Previously placed at Windsor, the John and Thady Gosden-trained daughter of Night Of Thunder showed a game attitude to wear down the runner-up Abloom.
"That was very straightforward," said jockey Hollie Doyle. "She travelled nicely, she's a bit raw and green still and she took a while to level out but she was tough when she needed to be."
Chinkara is a daughter of Lady Rasha, another homebred who is a Dansili half-sister to our Group winners Ajaya and Extra Elusive. Lady Rasha has a yearling filly by New Bay, a colt foal by Churchill and is in foal to Cracksman.
Later in the day, Fram Castle broke his maiden at Kempton to land a double on the day for Blue Diamond-breds.
The Decorated Knight gelding, who is trained by Dominic Ffrench Davis, was landed on the line in the two mile contest by Taryn Langley.
Fram Castle is out of our Speightstown mare Star Of Bristol (pictured bottom right), also dam of the talented Clifton Down. Star Of Bristol, a half-sister to champion Mastercraftsman, has a colt foal by Blame and is in foal to Elite Power.
