Deauville score for homebred Thinthread

12 August 2025

Homebred Thinthread added further to his record on Tuesday when the game winner of the extended 1m1f handicap at Deauville.

Always prominently positioned by Alexis Pouchin, the son of Invincible Spirit repelled all challengers to win by a head from Seona.

Trained by Andre Fabre, Thinthread represents three generations of Blue Diamond breeding as a son of Cristielle, an Australia daughter of our first homebred stakes winner Nouriya from our Majestic Sakeena family. He is only the second foal out of Cristielle, whose first Lahab was a winner for us and Andrew Balding. Cristielle also has a yearling colt by New Bay and is in foal to Baaeed.

Nouriya also remains in the broodmare band. Dam of our Group 2 winner Aljazzi, whose Frankel yearling filly made headlines last year when selling for 4,400,000gns to Amo Racing, she now resides in Kentucky.
