Hat trick for Bosphorus Rose
7 September 2025
Bosphorus Rose, bred and raised by Blue Diamond Stud, again looked like a filly going places on Saturday when making it three on the bounce - and four for the year - in the 1m4f handicap at Thirsk.
The three-year-old Golden Horn filly made light of shouldering top weight against older fillies to win easily by three lengths under Dylan Hogan.
Bosphorus Rose began her winning run for Sir Mark Prescott when successful at Bath in May before following up at Epsom and Catterick.
Bosphorus Rose is out of May Rose, our winning daughter of Lawman who is a half-sister to the Group 2 scorers Cable Bay and Sea Wolf.
May Rose's two-year-old colt by Dark Angel, May Angel, won at Southwell recently for John and Thady Gosden before running with credit in the Acomb Stakes at York. She also has a yearling filly by Zarak and a colt foal by Pinatubo.
Bosphorus Rose was sold by us to her current connections as a foal at the 2022 Tattersalls December Sale.
