Bosphorus Rose strikes again

23 July 2025

Bosphorus Rose, bred and raised by Blue Diamond Stud, made it three wins from four for the season for Sir Mark Prescott on Wednesday when running out the wide-margin winner of the 1m4f handicap at Catterick.

The Golden Horn filly began her winning run when successful at Bath in May and followed up earlier this month at Epsom.

Bosphorus Rose is out of May Rose, our winning daughter of Lawman who is a half-sister to the Group 2 scorers Cable Bay and Sea Wolf.

May Rose also has a two-year-old colt by Dark Angel named May Angel with John and Thady Gosden, a yearling filly by Zarak and a colt foal by Pinatubo.

Bosphorus Rose was sold by us to her current connections as a foal at the 2022 Tattersalls December Sale.

Her win continues a good patch for the stud, which has also been represented in recent days by Pontefract winner Ravishing Beauty. The Jedd O'Keeffe-trained daughter of Camelot is out of our Firth Of Clyde Stakes winner Shaden.
