Zheleznaya Dama strikes at Naas

Zheleznaya Dama continued a good run for the stud when landing a deserved success at Naas.
The daughter of Saxon Warrior becomes the latest winner bred and raised by Blue Diamond Stud, in her case Stonereath Farm in Kentucky. She was sold as part of our draft at Book 2 of the 2024 Tattersalls October Sale.
Trained by Brendan Duke on behalf of Martin Hayes and Peter Slezak, Zheleznaya Dama made all the running under Rory Cleary to get off the mark.
Speaking after the race, Duke said: “She deserved that, she’s been running really well. A mile is her trip. I thought I might get away with six-and-a-half in Limerick and it probably cost me the race in Killarney [when second]. I thought she ran her heart out in Killarney.”
Zheleznaya Dama was bred by us out of Star Of Bristol, a Speightstown half-sister to Mastercraftsman. She has a yearling colt by Blame currently at Stonereath Farm.
