Third win of the year for homebred Merlin The Wizard

Merlin The Wizard bounced back to winning ways on Saturday when taking a competitive mile handicap at Newmarket.
Previously successful this season at Kempton and Ffos Las, the son of Camelot travelled well for William Buick just in behind the pace and showed a bright turn of foot to run down the leaders and win well by a length and a half.
Merlin The Wizard now boasts three wins in six starts for Roger and Harry Charlton. His productive season provides a quick and welcome start to the stud career of Sweet Gentle Kiss, a tough daughter of Henrythenavigator whose victories included the Group 3 Premio Dormello and Listed Premio Coolmore.
Sweet Gentle Kiss, a half-sister to Listed winner Sunset Key, has a two-year-old filly named Pratigya to follow by Decorated Knight, who has been retained and is also with Roger and Harry Charlton.
She also has a yearling filly by Study Of Man, a filly foal by Sea The Moon and is in foal to Palace Pier.
