Stakes win for BDS-bred Ajaya 3yo Fourhometwo!

26 June 2021

Fourhometwo, bred by Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar at Blue Diamond Stud, landed a deserved stakes breakthrough at the Curragh on Saturday when successful in the Listed Celebration Stakes.

The hardy Johnny Murtagh-trained three-year-old was forced to squeeze through a tight gap up the inner but he answered every call of Ben Coen to challenge Khartoum and win going away.

He now boasts three wins alongside a Listed placing in the Glencairn Stakes.

“He needs a good pace and we had that to aim at,” Coen told Irishracing.com. “He’s a nice horse for all those races and is improving the whole time.

“He’s a bit buzzy but he’s getting better with every run. I like him.”

Fourhometwo is from the first crop of our homebred Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes winner Ajaya. Bred by the stud out of Nessina, Ajaya stood briefly at Rathbarry Stud in Ireland.

He is the fourth living foal out of Missy O’Gwaun, a winning King’s Best sister to Japanese Group 3 winner Cosmo Meadow. Missy O’Gwaun is also a half-sister to Group 2 Prix Guillaume d’Ornano winner Knight To Behold and from the well known Neil Jones family of Millenary.

Missy O’Gwaun also has a two-year-old colt from the first crop of our multiple Group 1 winner Decorated Knight and a yearling filly by Siyouni.
