Stakes beckon for BDS-bred Fourhometwo

Fourhometwo, bred at Blue Diamond Stud by Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar, returned to winning ways in excellent style on Monday with a resounding victory in the Blackwater Handicap at Naas.
Smart last year for Johnny Murtagh when winning at Galway and attaining a rating of 90, Fourhometwo ran a fine third at the Curragh on his seasonal return and was impressive on Monday, quickening clear for a widening length-and-a-half success despite being short of room at a crucial stage.
“Fourhometwo put up a good performance there and he got a great ride [from Ben Coen],” Murtagh told The Racing Post. “If he comes out of this okay he might go to the Curragh next week for the Tetrarch. He has to be a stakes horse to do what he did today.”
Fourhometwo is from the first crop of our homebred Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes winner Ajaya. Bred by the stud out of Nessina, Ajaya stood briefly at Rathbarry Stud in Ireland.
He is the fourth living foal out of Missy O’Gwaun, a winning King’s Best sister to Japanese Group 3 winner Cosmo Meadow. Missy O’Gwaun is also a half-sister to Group 2 Prix Guillaume d’Ornano winner Knight To Behold and from the well known Neil Jones family of Millenary.
Missy O’Gwaun also has a two-year-old colt from the first crop of our multiple Group 1 winner Decorated Knight and a yearling filly by Siyouni.
