With the foaling season in full swing, it’s been a busy time for the stud’s team led by broodmare manager Andrew Rawlin.

We currently have seven foals on the ground, including a half-sister to a Classic hopeful and a grandson of our foundation mare Majestic Sakeena.

Of particular note is Zotilla‘s filly foal by Too Darn Hot, born on January 28.

The Zamindar mare Zotilla has quickly become an important member of the Blue Diamond broodmare band following her purchase for €75,000 at Arqana in December 2019. The mare is a half-sister to the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches heroine Flotilla and out of Grade 3 winner Louvain, making her a member of the famous Flanders family, and has since done her bit to uphold that successful family tradition as the dam of last season’s top two-year-old Mangoustine, whose unbeaten campaign culminated with a victory in the Group 3 Prix Miesque.

The Too Darn Hot filly is the sixth foal for Zotilla, who also has a two-year-old colt by Zoustar. Zotilla visits Dubawi this season.

Also striking is Nadia Promise‘s Kingman colt, who was born on February 4.

Beautifully marked with a lot of quality, the colt is the third foal out of his dam, who is a Galileo daughter of our foundation mare Majestic Sakeena.

Majestic Sakeena left behind five winners including dual Listed scorer Nouriya, in turn the dam of our Group 2 Duke Of Cambridge Stakes heroine Aljazzi and Listed heroine Majestic Noor, and the stakes-placed Yuften and Lady Nouf. Another daughter, Bella Nouf, is the dam of last season’s Group 3 Sweet Solera Stakes winner Majestic Glory.

Nadia Promise also has a yearling colt from the first crop of Study Of Man and is due to visit Siyouni.

We were delighted to get a filly out of the regally-bred Arwa, a winning half-sister to champion stayer Order Of St George.

Born on January 29, her filly foal is a daughter of Coolmore’s top sire Camelot and is a half-sister to the highly promising Decorated Knight colt Damaar, who was a winner on debut for John and Thady Gosden at Sandown Park last season. Arwa‘s pedigree is replete with quality since not only is she a half-sister to multiple Group 1 winner Order Of St George but also to the Group/Grade 3 winners Asperity and Angel Terrace as well as Listed scorer Sehoy and Group 3-placed Kellstorm.

Arwa also has a two-year-old filly by Decorated Knight with John and Thady Gosden and visits Wootton Bassett.

The Classic-placed Lady Ramon, meanwhile, has foaled a colt by top sprinter Blue Point. He was born on February 3 and is the first foal out of his dam, winner of the Listed Premio Nogara and second in the Italian 1,000 Guineas.

Lady Ramon, a Ramonti relation to American Grade 1 winner Gaily Gaily, now visits Decorated Knight.

Also set to visit Decorated Knight is Philippa Victoria, who foaled a filly by US Navy Flag on February 8.

Philippa Victoria, by Zoffany, was bred by Blue Diamond Stud out of the Group 3 winner Lady Wingshot and the US Navy Flag filly is her first foal.
