Soon and her Dubawi filly
A very special foal arrived on Saturday when Soon foaled a lovely bay filly by supersire Dubawi.
She is the third foal out of Soon and follows an Oasis Dream two-year-old filly, who is in training with Hugo Palmer, and a yearling filly who is also by Dubawi.
Soon was a high-class performer for Aidan O’Brien who won the Listed Vincent O’Brien Ruby Stakes and ran placed in the Group 3 Gallinule and Noblesse Stakes.
At the end of her racing career, the daughter of Galileo was purchased by Tony Nerses for 800,000gns to join the Blue Diamond broodmare band.
War Command – Pearl Magic colt
Not only was Soon a good race filly but she also boasts regal connections: a half-sister to Derby runner-up Walk In The Park, she is out of Classic Park, who became Aidan O’Brien’s first Classic winner when successful in the 1997 Irish 1,000 Guineas. It is also the family of Group 1-winning miler Court Masterpiece.
The stud has also welcomed a foal from the first crop of top two-year-old War Command in a colt out of Pearl Magic, who was born last Thursday.
The colt is the third foal out of his dam, whose two-year-old Sayif colt is in training with George Scott.
Pearl Magic, by Speightstown, is a half-sister to Group 3 winner Tough Speed.
