With the foaling season in full swing, life at Blue Diamond Stud continues to provide a very welcome distraction from the outside world.

The latest arrival is a strong bay colt by leading sire Siyouni out of Rose Of Miracles who was born on Monday evening.

Rose Of Miracles boasts regal connections as a daughter of emerging broodmare sire Dalakhani from the immediate family of multiple Champion Goldikova. The Wertheimers’ brilliant miler won 15 races for Freddy Head including the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes, Prix de la Foret, Prix d’Ispahan (twice), Prix du Moulin, Breeders’ Cup Mile (3 times) and the Prix Rothschild – the latter on no fewer than four occasions.

Goldikova has since produced Group 3 winner Terrakova while her sister Galikova is also a Group 1 winner, having won the Prix Vermeille.

The family goes back to the brilliant Arc heroine Gold River.

Rose Of Miracles was purchased by Tony Nerses to join the stud as a yearling.

The colt, who shares his sire Siyouni with the likes of Sottsass and Laurens, is the third foal out Rose Of Miracles. Her first, a Frankel colt named Amtiyaz, is in training with John Gosden while her second, a Dansili filly named Najeeba, is in training with Roger Charlton.

Rose Of Miracles now visits our multiple Group 1 winner Decorated Knight at the Irish National Stud.
