Sewards Folly foals Kingman half-sister to Sayif
5 February 2016
BLUE Diamond welcomed another special foal on Thursday when Sewards Folly foaled a bay filly from the first crop of Kingman.
The new arrival is a half-sister to two high-class two-year-olds in Sayif and Hunter Street as well as Aarti and Amurra, both of whom are now in the Blue Diamond Stud band.
Sayif ran second in the Middle Park Stakes and July Stakes as a two-year-old for Peter Chapple-Hyam and returned at three to defeat a top-class field of older sprinters in the Diadem Stakes.
Now standing at Llety Stud, his first two-year-olds race this year; it’s an exciting group that includes 12 of our own with the likes of Hugo Palmer, Johnny Murtagh, Ed Walker, George Scott and Michael Bell.
Hunter Street, meanwhile, won the Cornwallis Stakes and now stands in Italy.
Sewards Folly is also the dam of Fol O’Yasmine, a Dubawi three-year-old filly, and a two-year-old Sepoy colt, both of whom are with William Haggas.
On what was a busy day on Thursday, Bouyrin foaled a filly by Henrythenavigator.
The foal is the second foal out of Bouyrin following a yearling filly by Dutch Art. Bouyrin, a winning Invincible Spirit half-sister to Oh So Sharp Stakes winner Alsindi, is booked back to Dark Angel for 2016.
