Sefton Warrior continues stud’s purple patch
3 August 2020
The winners keep flowing – on Monday, it was Sefton Warrior‘s turn to add to the stud’s current purple patch when scoring in handicap company at Yarmouth.
Trained by Richard Spencer on behalf of Rebel Racing Premier II, the son of Frankel (pictured right as a yearling) was bred by Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar at Blue Diamond Stud out of Maid To Master, a sister to top miler and sire Mastercraftsman.
Appropriately, he was steered to victory by our newly retained jockey Hollie Doyle.
Sefton Warrior becomes the second winner out of Maid To Master. As well as being a full-sibling to Mastercraftsman, she is also a sister to the Group 1-placed Famous, in turn the dam of last season’s high-class stayer Il Paradiso. Maid To Master is also a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Genuine Devotion.
Maid To Master also has a filly foal by our multiple Group 1 winner Decorated Knight and visited Camelot this year.
