Sea The Stars filly for Princess Noor
4 February 2018
Blue Diamond Stud welcomed another special foal last week in a Sea The Stars filly out of Group 3 winner Princess Noor.
The filly arrived on the same day as a colt from the first crop of our Gimcrack Stakes winner Ajaya; like Ajaya’s first foal, he is a youngster of substance and real quality.
The Sea The Stars filly is the third foal out of Princess Noor following a two-year-old filly by New Approach and a yearling colt by Australia.
Princess Noor was an excellent two-year-old for Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar, winning the Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot under Andrea Atzeni before running a brave second in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes.
Tony Nerses described her latest filly as a ‘foal of huge quality and presence’.
Princess Noor, a daughter of Holy Roman Emperor bought by Tony Nerses as a yearling, is out of a half-sister to Flying Childers Stakes winner Land Of Dreams, the dam of champion sprinter Dream Ahead.
She is now set to form part of our strong squad of mares slated to visit Decorated Knight.
Also visiting Decorated Knight is Gadwa, an Oasis Dream half-sister to Oaks third Lady Of Dubai, and Bella Nouf, a winning Dansili daughter of our foundation mare Majestic Sakeena from the immediate family of Aljazzi.
Gadwa’s first foal is a colt from the second crop of Gleneagles born on January 23 while Bella Nouf’s second foal is a filly by Camelot who was born on January 28.
Woodland Scene, meanwhile, has foaled a fine bay colt by Ajaya. The colt is the fourth foal out of the mare, whose three-year-old is the highly regarded Martineo.
Woodland Scene is an Act One half-sister to Racing Post Trophy winner Crowded House and from the further family of champion sire Storm Cat.
