No Nay Never filly for Group 3 winner Shaden
26 February 2020
Recent weeks have featured a number of smart new arrivals at Blue Diamond Stud.
One of the most exciting additions is a No Nay Never filly out of our Group 3 winner Shaden born on February 22. She is certainly bred to be fast given her sire, an excellent two-year-old himself, is already regarded as an elite source of speed while her dam won the Firth Of Clyde Stakes as a two-year-old.
Shaden, a daughter of Kodiac from the family of top miler Lahib, also has a two-year-old colt by Dark Angel called Trilogy that made 210,000gns to trainer Kevin Ryan as a yearling. She also has a yearling colt by Decorated Knight and is slated to visit Camelot in 2020.
Decorated Knight himself is the sire of a lovely chestnut filly out of Turama, a Pivotal half-sister to Group 1 winner Spinning Queen from the famous Lady Blackfoot family.
Already dam of the highly rated Riviera Nights, who stays in training for 2020, Turama now visits 2,000 Guineas and Racing Post Trophy hero Saxon Warrior.
A trio of mares purchased at the recent breeding stock sales have also produced foals.
The Listed-placed Queens Harbour foaled a striking colt by Holy Roman Emperor on February 16. The daughter of Harbour Watch now visits Decorated Knight as does the regally-bred Rivercat.
Dam of a filly foal by Raven’s Pass born on 13 February, the winning Rivercat boasts illustrious bloodlines as a daughter of Grade 3 winner Anjaz, herself a daughter of champion Playful Act. Third dam Magnificient Style also produced Group 1 winners Nathaniel and Great Heavens.
Decorated Knight‘s 2020 book also includes the winning Spring Eternal, a half-sister to Listed winner Exoteric and daughter of multiple stakes winner Short Dance. The daughter of Oasis Dream foaled a good chestnut colt by Belardo on February 23.
