Nessina foals half-sister to Ajaya
1 May 2018
Hopes are high for the latest Fastnet Rock foal to join the stud, namely a filly out of star producer Nessina who was foaled on April 26.
The bay filly is a half-sister to none other than Ajaya, our Gimcrack Stakes winner, as well as the exciting Extra Elusive, the winner of his only start at Newbury last year for Roger Charlton.
Nessina joined the stud when purchased by Tony Nerses at Tattersalls in December 2013. The daughter of Hennessy hails from the famous Juddmonte family of Monroe as a half-sister to Listed winner Tantina, the dam of Group 1 performers and successful sires Cityscape and Bated Breath. The mare now heads to France to be covered by leading sire Siyouni.
Ajaya himself is represented by eight foals on the stud, the latest of whom is a filly out of the talented Impressionism.
The Listed-placed Impressionism, an Elusive Quality mare from the Gerald Leigh family of Markofdistinction and Opinion Poll, is already the dam of two winners and now visits Mastercraftsman, the sire of our own Dawn Of Hope and Extra Elusive.
We were also delighted last week to welcome an Acclamation filly out of the Listed-placed Alfajer.
She is the second foal out of her dam following a Golden Horn colt. Alfajer now forms part of our strong squad heading to Decorated Knight.
