Recent weeks have featured the arrival of several very special foals, among them a well-related Lope De Vega colt.

Born on March 21, the colt is out of our first homebred stakes winner Nouriya, who was trained by Sir Michael Stoute to win the Listed John Musker Stakes at Yarmouth and EBF Lyric Stakes at York.

The daughter of Danehill Dancer is out of one of our foundation mares, Majestic Sakeena, and has done much to enhance the family at stud as the dam of four winners led by Aljazzi, whose five victories included the Group 2 Duke Of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot and Group 3 Atalanta Stakes at Sandown.

At the conclusion of her career, Aljazzi sold for a sale record of 1,000,000gns at the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale to Newsells Park Stud. Her first foal is a two-year-old filly by Galileo named Viva Bolivia.

Nouriya is also dam of Majestic Noor, who emulated her dam by landing the John Musker Stakes, and the granddam of Kinchen, who ran second in last season’s Grade 2 Miss Grillo Stakes at Belmont Park. Kinchen shares her sire, Lope De Vega, with Nouriya’s colt foal.

Nouriya also has a three-year-old colt by Decorated Knight called Sobegrand in training with John and Thady Gosden.

Another stud high-flyer, Shaden, is the dam of a smart filly by Dark Angel.

Shaden, a daughter of Kodiac, was trained by Lady Cecil to win the Group 3 Firth Of Clyde Stakes at Ayr. She has a two-year-old filly by No Nay Never named Golden Bullet in training with Archie Watson and a yearling filly by Camelot.

Shaden visits Mehmas this season.

Imad Al Sagar, meanwhile, was on hand to welcome the arrival of Jousi’s colt foal by Siyouni, born on March 15.

The flashy youngster is the second foal out of Jousi, another homebred who carried our colours to victory at Ascot as a two-year-old. In turn, the Dubawi mare is out of Listed winner Soon, a Galileo daughter of the Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Classic Park.

The stud has also welcomed another smart youngster by Mishriff’s sire Make Believe in a filly out of Morningtide.

She is the second foal out of her dam, a Shamardal daughter of Group 3 winner New Morning from the outstanding Ballymacoll Stud family of Islington, Fiorente and Berkshire Shadow.

Morningtide also has a yearling colt by Decorated Knight and returns to Too Darn Hot.
