Lavender Breeze scores at Gowran
2 September 2025
Following a pair of creditable placed efforts, Lavender Breeze gained a deserved success when taking the 7f maiden at Gowran Park on Tuesday.
The Jessica Harrington-trained filly ran down the favourite Diego El Queso to run out a cosy winner, with the pair well clear of the third.
"I was in stall 16, which forced my hand," said jockey Shane Foley. "I thought there might be a strong pace and they were rocking along. She did everything right. It was like a piece of work, she was good and relaxed."
"She was relaxed, got into a good rhythm and did it nicely," said Kate Harrington. "She was professional before the race- hopefully it's onwards and upwards."
Lavender Breeze joined our operation when bought out of the Goffs Orby Sale. Bred by Eimear Mulhern, the daughter of Kodiac becomes the seventh winner out of Dame d'Honneur.
