Kingman filly among new additions
18 April 2018
It continues to be a busy period at Blue Diamond Stud, where we have welcomed another three new foals in the past week to bring our overall total for the year to 27.
One of the most exciting foals of the year is Lady Nouf’s filly by Kingman. From a thriving Blue Diamond family, she is the fourth foal out of her dam, who ran second to Talent in the Listed Pretty Polly Stakes at Newmarket. Lady Nouf was one of several talented runners bred by the stud out of foundation mare Majestic Sakeena alongside Nouriya, herself dam of our Group 3 winner Aljazzi, and Yuften.
Lady Nouf has a three-year-old colt by Oasis Dream with William Haggas and a two-year-old colt by Iffraaj with Roger Charlton. She also has a yearling filly by Declaration Of War.
Lady Nouf is set to be covered this year by Fastnet Rock.
Also heading back to Coolmore is Azenzar, who is due to be covered by No Nay Never having recently foaled a chestnut colt by Gleneagles.
Another from an established Blue Diamond family, that of Dashing, the youngster is the fourth foal out of his winning dam. We also have Azenzar’s first foal, Warrior Goddess, in training with Robert Cowell.
Completing the week’s trio was a War Command colt out of Luluti foaled on April 15. He is the third foal by the stallion for us this year following a colt out of Zari and filly out of Dashing.
Luluti, a Kheleyf half-sister to Princess Margaret Stakes runner-up Excellerator, has already bred two winners for us in Dutch Gallery and Fausto, and has a smart two-year-old Acclamation filly in training with Marco Botti. Luluti now heads to Ireland to be covered by our Gimcrack Stakes winner Ajaya.
