The stud’s excellent run continued on Tuesday evening as Kind Gesture scored at the second time of asking at Wetherby for Prince A A Faisal and Roger Varian.

In the process, she became the third promising maiden winner of the week for Decorated Knight after Knight Of Honour, who won easily in good company at Goodwood for John and Thady Gosden on Sunday, and Knightswood, who ran out an impressive winner at Redcar for Mark and Charlie Johnston last week. Decorated Knight‘s productive patch also includes the recent Danish 2,000 Guineas winner Charming Knight.

“Things went smoothly,” said jockey David Egan. “I got a nice toe into the race and it was very straightforward. I’m delighted with the filly – she was gifted by Imad Alsagar of Blue Diamond Stud to my boss, Prince A A Faisal, so it’s great.”

Kind Gesture is the second winning graduate for Blue Diamond Stud in as many days after Liverpool Knight, a wide-margin winner at Windsor on Monday evening.

Her success also provides a swift start to the stud career of our classy mare Dawn Of Hope; she is the first foal out of the mare, who carried our colours to success in the Listed Prix Petite Etoile at Deauville. Also Group 3-placed, Dawn Of Hope is a half-sister to Ayrad, a multiple Listed winner for us, and from the further family of top sprinters Stravinsky and Dowsing.

Dawn Of Hope also has a two-year-old Kingman colt named Variable Cost in training in the US, a yearling colt by Invincible Spirit and a filly foal by Sea The Stars. She is in foal to Pinatubo.
