The John and Thady Gosden-trained Siyouni colt was sent off the 1/2 favourite and didn’t disappoint, making smooth headway under Robert Havlin before kicking clear for a three-and-a-quarter length success over the more experienced Alumnus.
So impressive was the colt that he was designated a ‘TDN Rising Star’.
He becomes the third winner from as many foals out of Rose Of Miracles, a Dalakhani relation to the brilliant miler Goldikova. Her first foal, Amtiyaz, is a very classy stayer whose four wins include last year’s Copper Horse Handicap at Royal Ascot while her second, Najeeba, was a multiple winner for Roger and Harry Charlton.
Rose Of Miracles also has a yearling colt by Decorated Knight and is in foal to Lope De Vega.
