Impressive Amtiyaz looks a classy stayer in the making

Amtiyaz put up a quality performance against his elders at Wolverhampton on Saturday night to win the 1m6f handicap with ease under Hollie Doyle.

Fresh off an easy win in maiden company, Amtiyaz was always travelling well within striking distance of the leaders and swiftly put the matter to bed when asked to win by close to two lengths from Manjaam.

“He’s done it really nicely, he’s proven that he’s up to a mark of 82,” said Hollie Doyle. “He’s a good project going forward now.

“We took a lead today because we were stepping up to 1m6f. Today, the further we went, the better he was going. I think he’s pretty versatile – I don’t think it matters if its 12 of 14 furlongs. He stays but he’s also got plenty of pace. He’s going the right way and handling his racing really well.”

A son of the mighty Frankel, Amtiyaz is the first foal out of Rose Of Miracles, a Dalakhani relation to the great Goldikova and her Group 1-winning half-sister Galikova. It is also the excellent Wertheimer family of Group 3 winners Gold Sound and Gold Round in addition to the Grade 1-placed miler and sire Anodin.

Rose Of Miracles has a two-year-old filly by Dansili named Najeeba, who is in training with Roger Charlton, and a colt foal by Siyouni. She visited our multiple Group 1 winner Decorated Knight this season.
