Homebred Oden strikes at Brighton

After a series of progressive runs, homebred Oden gained a deserved first success when scoring in handicap company for Roger Varian at Brighton.
Bounced out by Jack Mitchell, the son of Lope De Vega made all the running to win comfortably by five lengths from Prerogative.
Oden is the third winner out of Dashing, a Sadler’s Wells half-sister to champion and multiple Group 1 winner Alexander Goldrun and Poule d’Essai des Poulains runner-up Medecis. Dashing joined Blue Diamond Stud when purchased by Tony Nerses in 2009.
Dashing has a two-year-old filly by Iffraaj, a yearling colt by Mastercraftsman and a filly foal by Zoffany. she was covered by War Command this season.
