Homebred Najeeba impressive at Newcastle

25 October 2021

Najeeba made light of a lengthy absence on Monday evening to record an impressive winning return under Hollie Doyle at Newcastle.

Having tracked the leaders, our striking homebred grey made her challenge two furlongs out and was always doing enough to hold runner-up Desert Emperor at bay with the pair well clear of the third.

It was only the third run for Najeeba, who had shown promise on both her earlier starts for Roger Charlton.

The Dansili three-year-old is the second foal out of Rose Of Miracles, a daughter of Dalakhani who was highly rated when in training with William Haggas.

Rose Of Miracles, who is closely related to the mighty champion miler Goldikova, has made a quick start at stud as the dam of our classy stayer Amtiyaz, who carried Imad Al Sagar’s colours to victory in this year’s Copper Horse Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Rose Of Miracles also has a yearling colt by Siyouni and a colt foal by our own multiple Group 1 winner Decorated Knight.
