Homebred Enchanting makes impressive return
23 May 2025
Homebred Enchanting made a brilliant return to action for Andrew Balding on Friday when the wide-margin winner of the 5f handicap at Goodwood.
In the process she became the second winner of the day to be bred and raised at Blue Diamond Stud after Bosphorus Rose, who broke her maiden at Bath.
A two-time winner last season, Enchanting was settled off the pace by Hollie Doyle and having cruised into contention, quickened clear for an emphatic near four-length success.
Enchanting is only the second foal out of Tisa River following Bolt Action, another talented sprinter who was Listed-placed. Tisa River, a half-sister to the Group/Grade 1 winners Iridessa, Order Of Australia and Santa Barbara, has a two-year-old Frankel colt named Baroud due to be trained by Andre Fabre, a yearling colt by Camelot named National Anthem and a filly foal by Frankel.
