Homebred Blown Away impresses at Chelmsford

14 September 2023

Homebred Blown Away looked a potentially useful prospect in the making on Thursday when the easy winner of the mile novice at Chelmsford City.

Having clearly learnt plenty in two promising runs at Newmarket, the Invincible Spirit colt made no mistake on this occasion, travelling well for Hollie Doyle before stretching clear for a near two-length success.

Trained by John and Thady Gosden, Blown Away becomes the second winner out of our Listed Prix Petite Etoile heroine Dawn Of Hope after Kind Gesture, who was a whisker off gaining black-type for owner Prince A A Faisal.

Dawn Of Hope, a Mastercraftsman half-sister to our multiple Group 3 winner Ayrad (pictured right), also has a yearling filly by Sea The Stars and a colt foal by Pinatubo.
