Floret foals exciting Kingman colt

One of the most eagerly anticipated foals of the season arrived on February 2 with the birth of a Kingman colt out of Floret.
Floret, who topped the 2019 Arqana Summer Sale at €380,000, is a member of racing royalty as a half-sister to the outstanding champion Moonlight Cloud; her 12 victories included the Group 1 Prix de la Foret, Group 1 Prix du Moulin, Group 1 Prix Jacques Le Marois and three renewals of the Group 1 Prix Maurice de Gheest.
Moonlight Cloud shares her sire Invincible Spirit with Kingman, meaning that Floret’s colt is bred along similar lines to the brilliant mare.
Floret, by Galileo, is also a sister to Listed winner Cedar Mountain and a descendant of Doff The Derby, a legendary producer who produced Derby hero Generous as well an Oaks winner in Imagine, herself dam of last year’s champion two-year-old Van Gogh.
