Cosmopolitan Girl goes clear for an easy win

Cosmopolitan Girl returned to action in impressive style for Robert Cowell on Tuesday when running out the easy winner of the sprint handicap at Brighton.

Despite being squeezed at the start, the daughter of Dream Ahead made good headway to challenge the leader Sandfrankskipgo two furlongs out before lengthening clear. At the line, she had an easy two-and-quarter lengths to spare over her rivals.

It was the second win for Cosmopolitan Girl, a consistent filly who has finished out of the frame only twice in 14 starts.

Purchased by Tony Nerses from Johnny Collins’ Brown Island Stables at the Tattersalls Craven Sale, she was bred by Corrin Stud & the Dream Ahead Syndicate out of the Group 3-placed Absolute Music. The daughter of Consolidator is from the further family of the high-class American runner Worldly Manner.
