€520,000 Lawman filly caps successful trip to Goffs
2 October 2014
A Lawman filly and a Mastercraftsman half-sister to the stud’s promising Ayrad will carry the colours of Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar after selling to Tony Nerses at the Goffs Orby Sale this week.
The Lawman filly is a three-parts sister to last year’s Dewhurst Stakes runner-up Cable Bay and out of a daughter of Group 1-winning sprinter Cherokee Rose. She descends from the excellent foundation mare Mesopotamia and was bought for €520,000.
The Mastercraftsman filly, bought for €220,000, boasts a page well known to Blue Diamond as a half-sister to the highly regarded Ayrad, who ran a narrow third in the Godolphin Stakes at Newmarket only last week. They are out of Sweet Firebird, a Group 3-placed half-sister to champion Stravinsky.
