Dubawi colt for Soon
19 May 2019
A very smart Dubawi colt out of Listed winner Soon was among the highlights of the May-foaled group of foals that joined Blue Diamond Stud.
The colt is a brother to the talented Jousi, a maiden winner at Ascot who achieved a rating of 88 for Hugo Palmer, as well as 1.3 million guineas yearling Tuk Power. Soon also has a yearling filly by Fastnet Rock.
Soon was trained by Aidan O’Brien to win the Listed Vincent O’Brien Ruby Stakes at Killarney and run second in the Group 3 Gallinule Stakes at the Curragh. She is very well connected as a daughter of Aidan O’Brien’s first Classic winner, Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Classic Park, and half-sister to the Derby runner-up Walk In The Park.
The Group 1-placed Princess Loulou, meanwhile, has foaled a filly by Frankel.
Bought by Tony Nerses as a yearling, Princess Loulou was trained by Roger Varian to win three races in our colours including the Listed Gillies Fillies’ Stakes at Doncaster. This tough daughter of Pivotal was also second in the Group 1 Prix Jean Romanet at Deauville.
Princess Loulou now visits Decorated Knight.
Completing the new trio is a Fastnet Rock filly out of Nadia Promise from our ever successful Majestic Sakeena family.
Tony Nerses purchased Majestic Sakeena as a foundation mare for the stud in 2006 and she didn’t disappoint as the dam of dual Listed winner Nouriya, herself dam of last year’s Group 2 Duke Of Cambridge Stakes winner Aljazzi, the Group 1-placed Yuften and Listed-placed Lady Nouf.
The Fastnet Rock filly is the first foal out of Nadia Promise, a daughter of Coolmore phenomenon Galileo who now visits Camelot.
