Deserved success for Cosmopolitan Girl

11 June 2016

Cosmopolitan Girl made an impressive return to action on Saturday when running out the three-and-a-quarter length winner of the 5f maiden at Bath on her first start for Robert Cowell.

Ridden by Tom Marquand, the daughter of Dream Ahead tracked the leader Verne Castle before asserting a furlong out. Following the race, the Racing Post remarked that ‘this filly could have plenty more to offer now on the right track’.

Cosmopolitan Girl was purchased by Tony Nerses for 90,000gns from Johnny Collins’ Brown Island Stables at the 2015 Tattersalls Craven Sale.

Bred by Corrin Stud & the Dream Ahead Syndicate, she becomes the second winner out of the Group 3-placed Absolute Music, a daughter of Consolidator from the further family of the high-class American runner Worldly Manner.
