Curlin filly for I’m Wonderful

9 May 2022

We were delighted to welcome a filly by the outstanding American sire Curlin out of I’m Wonderful on Sunday.

The filly was born in Kentucky and is the third foal out of his dam following a two-year-old colt by Justify, now in training in the US, and a yearling colt by Dubawi.

Curlin is one of North America’s premier sires; only on Saturday, the son of Smart Strike was represented by his second Grade 1 winner of the year when Obligatory won the Derby City Distaff at Churchill Downs. The other, Ashland Stakes winner Nest, also ran an excellent second in the Kentucky Oaks on Friday.

I’m Wonderful boasts exceptional bloodlines as a Giant’s Causeway daughter of blue hen Rebridled Dreams. As such, she is a full-sister to the Grade 1 Bluegrass Stakes winner Carpe Diem and a half-sister to Grade 1 scorer J B’s Thunder, Grade 2 winner Farrell and Listed winner Doncaster Rover.
