Classy new recruits added at Goffs November Foal Sale

21 November 2019

We were delighted to add six new foals to our collection at the Goffs November Foal Sale this week.

Leading the way were a trio of smart representatives from the first crop of Decorated Knight; a filly from the family of Desert King purchased for €50,000, a colt out of Belova bought for €30,000 and a colt from the family of Habibti purchased for €24,000.

This lovely daughter of Decorated Knight was added at €50,000

We were also delighted to add a charming daughter of leading sire Starspangledbanner bought for €95,000 from Betaghstown Stud. The filly is a half-sister to two winners and out of Group 3 winner Flowers Of Spring, by Celtic Swing. Further back, it is the excellent Aga Khan family of Alamshar.

Blue Diamond Stud also revisited familiar territory with the purchase of a Shalaa filly out of Elhaam, a half-sister to our brilliantly fast sprinter Justineo, for €75,000. Sold by Rathasker Stud, the filly was the only foal by her exciting young sire catalogued.

Our final purchase was a belter of a colt by Yeomanstown Stud’s young Scat Daddy stallion El Kabeir. A €35,000 purchase from Oak Lodge and Springfield House Stud, the colt is a half-brother to the Group 2-placed Asoof and out of Prix de Royaumont winner Lady’s Purse.
