Knight Of Honour again looked a smart prospect in the making on Sunday when striking at Goodwood to become the latest first-crop winner for Decorated Knight.

A well-regarded colt who held Classic entries earlier in the year for John and Thady Gosden, Knight Of Honour assumed an early stalking position under Robert Havlin and having made smooth progress to challenge the leaders, quickened clear to win easily.

The colt joins Charming Knight and Knightswood as promising winners this week for Decorated Knight; Charming Knight captured the Danish 2,000 Guineas while Knightswood powered to victory at Redcar on only his second start for Mark and Charlie Johnston.

Knight Of Honour was bred by Barronstown Stud out of our high-class two-year-old Princess Noor, who carried our colours to victory in the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes and a runner-up effort in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes. The daughter of Holy Roman Emperor, who is related to Dream Ahead among others, is also dam of Princess Nadia, a smart filly who won for us last year at Newbury. Princess Nadia is now part of our broodmare band and in foal to Kingman.
