New arrivals by Acclamation, Henrythenagivator, Iffraaj and Sepoy have contributed to a busy month for our team at Blue Diamond Stud.

We are extremely pleased with our foals by Sepoy. We supported the stallion in his first season in 2013 and have a good Sepoy yearling colt who is a half-brother to Sayif. Last year, we sent another two mares and now have two cracking foals by him – a filly out of Loulou and a colt out of Luluti.

The filly was born on March 25 and is the fourth foal out of her dam, a winning daughter of champion Hatoof. Hatoof was a brilliant filly during the early 1990’s, winning the Champion Stakes, 1,000 Guineas and Beverly D Stakes. It is also the further family of Trading Leather.

Loulou now visits Dutch Art.

The colt, born on March 28, is the fourth foal out of his dam, Luluti, and related to Efisio. Luluti now heads to Ireland to be covered by Acclamation.

We have also welcomed two foals by Henrythenavigator, sire of our smart colt Toofi.

Dual Listed winner Nouriya, our first stakes-winning homebred, foaled a bay colt on March 26 and now visits Australia. The daughter of Danehill Dancer is a half-sister to our Pretty Polly Stakes runner-up Lady Nouf as well as Yuften, who was second past the post in last year’s Prix Jean Prat.

Only a day later, our second Henrythenavigator of the year was born when Aarti, a half-sister to Sayif and Hunter Street, foaled a bay colt.

Aarti now heads to France to be covered by Authorized.

Sayif himself is the sire of a smart colt out of Aramam, a sister to our former Listed-placed runner Nasri. Related to Canford Cliffs, the colt is our third Sayif foal of the year and – like our 12 Sayif yearlings – is another fine representation for his young sire.

Aramam is another who will be covered by Dutch Art this year.

Paradise Sea, a half-sister to Champion Stakes winner David Junior from the famous Bridlewood family of Paradise Creek and Forbidden Apple, had a pleasing first foal, a colt by Acclamation, on March 26. Paradise Sea now visits Sepoy.

We’re also very pleased with our colt from the first crop of Lethal Force. Foaled on March 26, he is bred to be quick being out of Native Picture, a winning Kodiac half-sister to Nunthorpe Stakes winner Kingsgate Native.

Native Picture is one of two mares we are sending to Lope De Vega this year alongside Mastercraftsman’s sister Maid To Master.

It’s also lovely to have two foals from the last crop of the much missed High Chaparral. Our second by the stallion born this year is a filly out of Princess Danah, a Danehill mare from the wonderful Ballade family of Singspiel, Rahy and Devil’s Bag.

Princess Danah’s 2013 colt by Shamardal was purchased for 220,000gns by Shadwell Estates last autumn. Named Daafik, he is in training with Simon Crisford.

Princess Danah is set to be covered by Nathaniel.

Meanwhile in Kentucky, Lady Wingshot foaled a bay filly by Iffraaj prior to visiting Declaration Of War. The filly is the first foal out of Lady Wingshot, who won the Group 3 Fairy Bridge Stakes at Tipperary

She is one of two mares we have sent to Kentucky to be covered by Declaration Of War this year alongside Queen Sarra.
