Breath Of Joy emphatic in victory

15 August 2020

Homebred Breath Of Joy continued her upward progression for Amy Murphy on Friday with an ’emphatic’ win over 6f at Pontefract under our newly retained rider Hollie Doyle.

Always well position, Breath Of Joy put the race to bed in a matter of strides to score by almost two lengths.

The Racing Post were impressed, commenting: “Her response when asked to win her race was emphatic. Victory at this trip gives connections plenty of options in the future.”

It was the second win for Breath Of Joy, who got off the mark on her seasonal debut at Haydock, having previously been placed in three of her four juvenile starts.

The daughter of Kodiac is one of three winners out of Island Dreams, a broodmare purchase for the stud by Tony Nerses. The placed Giant’s Causeway mare is a half-sister to high-class miler Rob Roy.
