Blue Diamond Stud nominated for TBA Silver Salver

30 May 2025

We are delighted to have been nominated for the TBA Silver Salver.

We are one of four nominees for the Special Merit Award, sponsored by Streets Bloodstock, off the back of a year highlighted by the Group 1 victory of Hotazhell in the Futurity Stakes at Doncaster. The son of Too Darn Hot was bred by us out of Azenzar and was sold through our draft to Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Sale to Eddie Linehan, who resold him as a breezer to his current connections, Silverton Hill LLC and Jessica Harrington.

Other black-type performers off the stud in the past 12 months include Burhan, Nebras and Milford while Enchanting is now rated 100 following her wide-margin winning return to action at Goodwood.

Kate Sigsworth, Deputy Chair of the TBA, said: "We are once again looking forward to the annual TBA Flat Breeders' Awards, which marks the start of another exciting week with Newmarket's July Festival. It’s a special occasion for the British breeding community and the wider racing industry to come together to celebrate the achievements of the past Flat season and to recognise the individuals who have made — and continue to make — a significant contribution to British breeding."

Blue Diamond Stud is also delighted to be sponsoring the Flat Filly of Merit Award, for which there are four nominees: Adaay In Devon, Betty Clover, Friendly Soul and No Half Measures.
