BDS graduates at the double

5 August 2020

An excellent run for the stud continued with a double on Wednesday as Obeya and Alioski scored within hours of each other. The pair were both bred by Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar at Blue Diamond Stud and sold at public auction.

Obeya was winning for the fourth time for connections when striking over 6f at Bro Park in Sweden. The daughter of Oasis Dream is out of Loulou, an El Prado mare out of champion Hatoof bought by Tony Nerses as a yearling. Hatoof’s nine wins for Criquette Head-Maarek included the 1992 1,000 Guineas and Champion Stakes.

Meanwhile over at Ayr, Alioski got off the mark for Kevin Ryan in division one of the 6f handicap.

By Kodiac, the three-year-old is out of the Kheleyf mare Luluti and a half-brother to our former useful two-year-old winner Dutch Gallery. He was sold for £45,000 through Houghton Bloodstock as a yearling.

The victories of Obeya and Alioski maintain a fruitful period for the stud that has also featured the winners Majestic Noor, Louganini, Faisal, Establish, Cozone, Fourhometwo, Luke Short and Sefton Warrior.
