BDS-bred Split Elevens wins again

31 January 2023

Our good run of success continued on Monday thanks to the win of Split Elevens in the 7f handicap at Wolverhampton.

The five-year-old was bred and raised at the stud out of Woodland Scene, also the dam of our Firth Of Clyde Stakes heroine Nazanin. While Woodland Scene has since been sold, Nazanin is now part of our broodmare band and visits Frankel this season while her three-year-old Justify daughter, Elhayba, is in the training with John and Thady Gosden.

It is the further family of Racing Post Trophy winner Crowded House and leading sire Storm Cat.

A son of our Gimcrack Stakes winner Ajaya, Split Elevens has been a remarkably tough horse for Johnny Butler; Monday's success was his fifth overall while he has been placed a further 11 times.
