Kind Gesture scores in Australia

4 December 2024

Kind Gesture, bred by Blue Diamond Stud out of Dawn Of Hope, gained a deserved success in Australia when scoring in the 1800m handicap at Caulfield for Mick Price.

The Decorated Knight filly ran down Friday At Five to win a shade cosily under Craig Williams.

"She can be slowly away," said Craig Williams. "They gave me an open book today - I've got know her well since she arrived in Australia. Most importantly, today gave her a win and some confidence. She felt good in the finish.

"Hopefully she'll gain some confidence from today. She's better than that and hopefully it will get her back on the right path to getting some black-type."

Kind Gesture was bred by Blue Diamond Stud out of Listed winner Dawn Of Hope (pictured with her as a foal), a half-sister to our former classy performer Ayrad. She was gifted to Prince A A Faisal as a yearling, for whom won twice as a three-year-old.

Now based at Stonereath Farm in Kentucky, Dawn Of Hope has a two-year-old filly named Gaugamela in training with Andre Fabre, a yearling colt by Pinatubo, a colt foal by Lope De Vega and is in foal to Justify.
