Deserved win for Blue Diamond-bred Establish
25 June 2020
Establish, bred at Blue Diamond Stud by Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar, gained a deserved success on Thursday when getting off the mark in the mile maiden at Bath.
The son of Australia, trained by Roger Varian on behalf of Alan Spence, showed a good attitude to run down the runner-up Defence Girl and win by a neck.
Establish is the first winner out of Azenzar, a Blue Diamond Stud homebred who carried the colours of Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar to victory in a Leicester maiden during the spring of 2013. By Danehill Dancer, she is out of Dashing, herself a half-sister to champion and multiple Group 1 winner Alexander Goldrun as well as the Classic-placed Medecis.
Azenzar also has a two-year-old colt by Gleneagles named Bautzen and a yearling colt by No Nay Never. She visited US Navy Flag this season.
