BDS-bred Ajaya filly looking pretty after Dresden win

8 May 2021

Pretty N’ Proud continued the great run of Blue Diamond graduates on Friday when breaking her maiden for Yasmin Almenräder at Dresden.

Previously placed on both her first two starts and dropping back to 7f for the first time, Pretty N’ Proud bravely denied Pareias Prinz to win by a neck with the pair ten lengths clear of the third.

Pretty N’ Proud was one of two winners on the day from the first crop of our homebred Gimcrack Stakes winner Ajaya alongside Cork maiden scorer Castletownbere.

She was bred by Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar out of Paradise Sea, a Stormy Atlantic half-sister to Group 1 winner David Junior. Further back, it is the family of top American turf runners Forbidden Apple, Wild Event and Paradise Creek.

Paradise Sea has a yearling colt from the second crop of our multiple Group 1 winner Decorated Knight, who has made a scintillating start at stud as the sire of Royal Ascot hopeful Silver Bullet Lady.
