Asmeralda makes winning debut

Asmeralda looked a smart filly in the making at Kempton on Wednesday when making a successful debut in the hands of Oisin Murphy.
Our flashy daughter of Night Of Thunder was always travelling smoothly and having ranged up to the favourite Pierchic, a previous winner for Godolphin, quickly put matters to bed for an authoritative score.
Asmeralda joined Blue Diamond Stud when purchased in conjunction with Hugo Merry at last year's Goffs Orby Sale. Bred by the Irish National Stud, she is out of the stakes-placed Sea Mona and a half-sister to the Grade 2 Jessamine Stakes winner California Angel.
