Another smart Decorated Knight foal for Blue Diamond

27 April 2019

Blue Diamond welcomed another excellent representative of Decorated Knight late last month in a fine colt foaled by Missy O’Gwaun.

The strong colt is the sixth foal out of Missy O’Gwaun, herself the dam of a recent winner and a half-sister to last year’s Group 2 Prix Guillaume d’Ornano hero Knight To Behold.

The daughter of Sadler’s Wells is also a half-sister to Group 3 winners Cosmo Meadow and Beauty O’Gwaun and hails from the good Neil Jones family of Millenary and Head In The Clouds.

Recent weeks have also featured new additions by leading young sires Siyouni and No Nay Never.

The Siyouni colt is particularly exciting given he is out of Nessina and therefore a half-brother to our Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes winner Ajaya and the exciting Extra Elusive – he recently returned to action with a highly promising second in the Listed Magnolia Stakes at Kempton.

Nessina, a Hennessy daughter of Grade 2 winner Didina who is a half-sister to the dam of both Cityscape and Bated Breath, also has a two-year-old colt by Fastnet Rock named Faramman in training with John Gosden.

Nessina is booked back to Invincible Spirit, the sire of Ajaya.

No Nay Never, meanwhile, is the sire of a smart colt out of Azenzar.

He is the fifth foal out of his winning dam, who is out of a half-sister to the remarkable champion Alexander Goldrun.

Azenzar now visits Shalaa.
