Decorated Knight: fired in another double

Decorated Knight: fired in another double

It was another productive day for Decorated Knight on Friday as Shahnaz and My Brother Jack scored within hours of each other at Carlisle and Wolverhampton.

Both hail from the first crop of Decorated Knight, whill their successes continue a good run for their sire highlighted by the fine runner-up effort of the classy 2yo Ferrari Queen in the Listed Washington Singer Stakes at Newbury.

Shahnaz, trained by Gemma Tutty on behalf of Maximum Racing, was winning for the third time this season when successful at Carlisle on Friday. Again partnered by Laura Coughlan, she made to win well, prompting the Racing Post to comment: “Shahnaz quickly got back on the up, always looking to have matters in control from the front. She’s a likeable sort and will continue to pay her way off higher marks.”

Shahnaz was bred by Tinnakill House Stud out of the BDS-bred Fol O’Yasmine, a winning Dubawi half-sister to our Group 2 Diadem Stakes winner Sayif.

Later on in the day, My Brother Jack gained a deserved success at Wolverhampton for the Jo-Co Partnership and trainer Ollie Pears. Bred by Yeomanstown Lodge Stud Ltd, he is a half-brother to numerous winners and out of the winning Sri Pekan mare Bella Bella.
