A very welcome Lion Cub arrives at Blue Diamond

An arrival to put a smile on the face during these sad and uncertain times – a lovely bay colt from the sole crop of Roaring Lion.
Born on Monday, the colt is out of the high-class Manasarova, a daughter of More Than Ready who joined the stud only last year when purchased at the Arqana December Sale.
The colt is the third foal out of Manasarova, who was trained by Francois Chappet to win as a two-year-old at Deauville and run second in the Listed Prix Ronde de Nuit at Chantilly.
Manasarova is out of a half-sister to top American turf runner Shakis and a direct descendant of blue hen Ballade, also the dam or ancestress of Devil’s Bag, Saint Ballado, Vivlos, Glorious Song and her influential sons Singspiel and Rahy.
Making the colt a particularly special arrival is the fact he belongs to the only crop sired by Roaring Lion.
The striking grey carried all before him in 2018, winning the Eclipse Stakes, Juddmonte International, Irish Champion Stakes and Queen Elizabeth II Stakes.
We hope that this colt can do him proud.
Manasarova now visits Tweenhills Farm and Stud’s exciting shuttler Zoustar.
